Pressure gauge kits for the La Pavoni Europiccola

Short answer

A boiler gauge shows when the machine is ready and whether the pressure switch is holding the right range. The adapter thread differs by age (11mm or 12mm), so check yours first. Most gauge kits were out of stock on Amazon US when we checked.

La Pavoni changed basket and gasket sizes around 2000. Check your generation first.

Why owners add one

The standard Europiccola has a sight glass but no gauge. A gauge shows when the boiler has reached pressure, and makes it easy to spot a pressure switch that runs too high. Owners often call it, with a temperature strip on the group, the first upgrade worth making.

What is available

When we checked Amazon US, the Europiccola gauge upgrade kits we track were all out of stock: the BPlus kit (which mounts at the upper sight glass retainer with an M11 thread), a chrome upgrade kit, and the MOHO adapter set sold in 11mm and 12mm versions. We will switch the button below on as soon as one is back.

Not on Amazon right now: where to buy

The US importer, European Gift and Houseware, also sells its own Europiccola gauge upgrade kit, part P-56KIT, through its website.

Thread size

The MOHO listing explains the split: a 12mm adapter for the earliest machines through the mid 1990s, and an 11mm adapter from the mid 1990s on, including Millennium models. Check the thread on your machine’s sight glass top screw before buying any kit.

Questions buyers ask

Which thread size does my Europiccola need?

One seller lists a 12mm adapter for the earliest machines through the mid 1990s, and an 11mm adapter for machines made from the mid 1990s on, including Millennium models. A buyer of another kit reported the threads did not match their machine, so check yours on the screw at the top of the sight glass.

What should the gauge read?

The US manual for the Professional says the gauge should top out at 0.7 or 0.8 bar and never go past 1 bar.

Does the Professional need a gauge kit?

No. The Professional already has a boiler gauge. If yours is broken, a replacement gauge is listed below.
